Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Lucas Barbosa (ranked 1034 p4p, 680 weight class) and Leandro Narloch (ranked 41 p4p, 27 weight class). Leandro Narloch will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Barbosa gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Barbosa ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Barbosa no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Narloch controlling from the top position.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Barbosa is on top in guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Barbosa advances to half guard.

Barbosa is trying to work for a kimura but Narloch is defending well.
Narloch is trying to stand up here but Barbosa is controlling him well.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Narloch is looking for a sweep. Barbosa is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

Barbosa is working for a submission of some sort.
Narloch wants to get back to full guard.

Narloch is using up a lot of energy trying to get back to his feet. Perhaps he should improve his position first.

Barbosa wants to work for an arm triangle but Narloch is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Narloch is not content to let Barbosa control the position.

Narloch manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Barbosa keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Barbosa's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Barbosa tries to pull guard but Narloch won't allow it.

Narloch lands with a short shot to the head.

Barbosa manages to break the clinch.
Barbosa throws a lazy right hand but Narloch sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Barbosa misses with a double jab

and Narloch counters by moving into the clinch.
Barbosa swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Barbosa tries to pull guard but Narloch forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Narloch lands with a short punch from the clinch.

It looks like Lucas Barbosa has been cut.
I was talking to Barbosa's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Narloch lands a left hand.
Narloch lands a left hand that snaps the head of Barbosa backwards.
Narloch manages to get underhooks and slows down the pace for a moment.
Narloch presses Barbosa against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Barbosa is breathing heavily.
Barbosa wants to break the clinch but can't.

Narloch lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.

Barbosa goes for a takedown in the clinch but Narloch prevents it.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Narloch creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Barbosa tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Narloch smiles and moves away.
Narloch changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Narloch misses with a double jab.
Narloch cracks Barbosa with a good jab.
Barbosa misses with a wild combination.
Good leg kick by Narloch.
A low kick from Barbosa is predictable there

and Narloch counters with a crisp one two that drops Barbosa! Narloch thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Barbosa to his feet! Barbosa is in big trouble!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Barbosa tries to score a power double leg takedown but Narloch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Barbosa somewhat.

Narloch throws a monster overhand right that drops Barbosa! Narloch follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!
