Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Twig Coleman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Stand Upman!
The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Fedor Mirinova and Valeri Chadov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Coleman goes for a double leg but Upman avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Upman continues to drive forward.

Upman breaks from the clinch.
Upman throws a head kick but Coleman moves out of range.
Coleman stuffs the takedown attempt from Upman. Upman gets slowly back to his feet.
Upman is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Coleman was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

Coleman fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Upman to the ground. Coleman is now in Upman's guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Upman being controlled here, momentarily.
Coleman working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

Upman is trying to keep Coleman in close.
Coleman controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Coleman has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Upman is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Coleman engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
Upman looking for a sweep. Not yet Upman, not yet.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Coleman is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Coleman shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
Upman tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Coleman manages to move to mount!
Coleman controlling from the full mount.
Upman has given up his back - I don’t know if this is a deliberate ploy to try and escape or if he is just struggling down there.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
What can Upman do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Upman is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Upman tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Coleman sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Upman to tap. Impressive finish!
