PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Swift Taylor (ranked 4635 p4p, 4471 weight class) and Herder Alcidion (ranked 532 p4p, 513 weight class). Taylor kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Bad Blood. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alcidion walks into a straight right hand from Taylor.

It looks like Herder Alcidion has been cut.
Taylor throws a lazy head kick
and Alcidion counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.

Alcidion rushes Taylor and presses him up against the ropes.
Taylor wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Alcidion has him pressed against the ropes.

Taylor definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

As Taylor backs off Alcidion throws a huge counter combo but Taylor manages to avoid it all.

and Alcidion counters with a three punch combo that has Taylor backing up. Taylor nods at Alcidion to acknowledge the strikes.

and Alcidion counters by clinching up.
Taylor wants to get back to striking at distance but Alcidion won't allow it.

Alcidion's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Taylor throws a right and a left that both miss.
Alcidion walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Taylor throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Alcidion tries to counter with a clinch but Taylor shakes him off and moves away.
Taylor throws a sloppy head kick and Alcidion moves out of range easily.
Taylor throws a hook to the side of Alcidion's head but Alcidion sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Taylor feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Alcidions jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Taylor motions for Alcidion to come forward. Taylor throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.

Taylor looks low and kicks high, catching Alcidion right on the side of the head, sending him crashing to the canvas! Will he be able to beat the count? 3,4,5 - he's already back to his feet and ready to go! Let's see if he's still with it!

enabling Alcidion to counter with a crisp jab.
Taylor scores with a big combo that sends Alcidion crashing to the mat! He's still conscious but the referee has seen enough as Alcidion flops around uncontrollably and he's called an end to the fight! Taylor jumps onto the ropes and throws his mouthpiece into the crowd. Gross.
