PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Robert Eins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Daniel Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ferreira has chosen Voices as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Robert Eins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Ferreira!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Andrew Berry and Chris Edwards.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eins misses with a wild combination.

Eins gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Eins trying to control the position.
Ferreira wants to stand but Eins is controlling his posture from full guard.
Eins looking to control.

Ferreira drops back looking for a leg! Eins is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Eins manages to kick Ferreira off! Ferreira jumps back into Eins's guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Eins is on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ferreira working a defensive guard but Eins passes into half guard.
Ferreira wants to get back to full guard.
Eins working Ferreira over with strikes.
Eins is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
A nice elbow there by Eins.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Eins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Ferreira is looking to escape.
Ferreira tries to lock up and control but Eins gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Eins controlling the position easily from mount.

Ferreira wants to control but Eins is having none of it.
Ferreira is trying to escape the mount.
Eins content just to control the position here.
Ferreira regains half guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Eins is thwarting Ferreira's attempts to control the position.
Eins trying to control from half guard but Ferreira is working away.
Ferreira tries to get to full guard but Eins has control of the leg.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Eins is stalling here. Ferreira is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Eins seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Ferreira has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Robert Eins will probably get the nod.
That's time! Eins's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Eins wants to land a leg kick but Ferreira is out of range.
Ferreira throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Ferreira moves out of range of the strikes.
No joy there for Eins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

and Ferreira holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Eins stalling.
Eins is trying to force a seperation but Ferreira has the dominant position.
Ferreira is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Ferreira is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Eins breaks from the clinch.
Eins throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Ferreira wants to clinch up but Eins keeps it at a distance.
Eins throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Ferreira.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Eins pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A head kick from Ferreira lands but Eins takes it in his stride.
Eins lands with a slapping head kick.
Eins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Ferreira counters with an outside leg kick.

Ferreira moves into the clinch.
Both fighters working to control the clinch.

Ferreira keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Eins's efforts to push away.
Ferreira tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Eins tries to throw a body punch but Ferreira avoids it by throwing Eins back against the cage.
Eins lands a nice shot to the body.

Eins pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Daniel Ferreira is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Ferreira lands a glancing blow to the side of Eins's head.
Ferreira avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Eins. Ferreira shrugs it off though.
Ferreira looks for a takedown but Eins sprawls well.
Eins falls off balance throwing a combination
and Ferreira finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A swing and a miss from Eins.
Eins takes a swing at Ferreira's ribcage but misses.
A jab from Eins misses.
Eins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Ferreira gets the takedown into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Ferreira lands an elbow.
Eins wants to control but Ferreira postures up.
Ferreira is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Eins's shoulder. That is not cool.
Ferreira in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Check out the look on Ferreira's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
Eins tries to bench press Ferreira off him but Ferreira keeps the position.
Ferreira content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.
Ferreira scores with punches from side control.

Ferreira tries to move to mount but Eins blocks the move with his legs.
Ferreira with the ground and pound but Eins regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Ferreira is looking to take a break and control but Eins is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Ferreira prevents Eins from improving his position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Eins trying to hold on to Ferreira's head to control him but Ferreira postures up.
Eins has a hand on Ferreira's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Ferreira takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Eins is in a horrible position here. Ferreira smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Daniel Ferreira showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!


Ferreira on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Eins lands with a right hand.
Eins avoids the body shot from Ferreira.
Eins throws a hook to the side of Ferreira's head but Ferreira sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Ferreira keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Ferreira misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Eins misses with a double jab.
Eins throws a shot from downtown. Ferreira moves away and avoids it.
Eins avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

and Ferreira counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Ferreira.
Eins lands a body shot.
Eins is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Eins's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Eins cracks Ferreira with a nice body shot.
Ferreira's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Ferreira goes for a takedown in the clinch but Eins prevents it.

Eins throws a lazy head kick

and Ferreira counters with a takedown into side control.

Ferreira lands an elbow.
Eins tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ferreira wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Eins is working hard here to advance position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Eins struggling a bit here.
Ferreira sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Eins is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.

Ferreira is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Eins knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Eins tries to improve position but can't.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.
Eins fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Ferreira.
Eins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Ferreira.
Ferreira takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.

Ferreira forces Eins back against the cage and clinches.

Ferreira pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Ferreira moves in looking to clinch but Eins pushes him off.
Eins swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Ferreira makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Eins fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ferreira manages to avoid it.
Ferreira looks for a takedown but Eins sprawls well.
Ferreira avoids a kick to the body.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Eins throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Eins connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ferreira momentarily.
Eins throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ferreira.
Eins tries a head kick but it misses.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ferreira is defended easily by Eins.
Robert Eins has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Daniel Ferreira.
A nice leg kick lands there from Eins.
Ferreira has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Ferreira there as he acknowledges the shot.
Ferreira wants to clinch.
Good work by Ferreira as he checks the leg kick.
Eins throws a shot to the body.
Eins thows a body shot but no joy.
Danga de danga de dang - Eins scores with a four punch combination!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Eins misses with the combination.
Ferreira changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Eins tries to avoid it but Ferreira manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Eins to the ground. Eins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Eins tries a head kick but it misses.
Eins lands a really nice looking cross but Ferreira seems unphased.
Robert Eins is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Ferreira looks for a takedown but Eins sprawls well.
Eins connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.
Eins lands a head kick!
Ferreira moves away from the strike by Eins.
Ferreira dodges the punch combination from Eins.

Eins gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ferreira to score an easy takedown into full guard.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Ferreira is fighting to break Eins's control of his arms but Eins is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

And that's the end of the fight!
Robert Eins showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Eins has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
