Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ryo Okami!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Tochar Ian B!
The judges for this bout are Jeff Smith, Roger Salmon and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Okami gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Ian B counters with a stiff right hand.
Okami misses the jab.
Ian B has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ian B is trying to drag Okami to the mat but Okami just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Okami tries to pull guard but Ian B forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - Ian B has eaten all the pies!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Okami fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ryo Okami. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Okami tries to pull guard but Ian B won't allow it.
Okami has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Ian B uses from the top position.

Ian B trying to control but Okami is working from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ian B throws an elbow that misses. Okami uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ian B's guard. Nice move by Okami!
Okami thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Ian B can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Okami controls the pace.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Okami pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Ian B is keeping the position for now.
Okami advances position into side control!

Okami staying calm.
Okami seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Ian B for as long as he can get away with.
Ian B gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!
Okami moves to back control.

Ian B is trying to get back to his feet but Okami has full control of the position and if anything, Ian B has just worked his way into a worse spot.
Okami is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Ian B won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Okami off his unconscious opponent!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ryo Okami!
