The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tercero just misses with a punch to the body.

Tercero feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Carboza sprawling to the canvas! Carboza rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Tercero finish him?!

Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Tercero, as that shot connected.

Tercero cracks Carboza with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Tercero has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Carboza to stand back up!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tercero lands an uppercut out of nowhere! Carboza falls backwards - clearly groggy! Tercero dives in and finishes the fight with more strikes for a TKO finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:16 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Troika Tercero!
Troika Tercero was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
