Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Zahbit Lovanov (ranked 260 p4p, 418 weight class) and Pete Tyler (ranked 32 p4p, 57 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

It looks like Pete Tyler has been cut.
Lovanov shoots for a double leg takedown but Tyler sprawls well. He's pushed Lovanov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Despite the aggression on Tyler's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Lovanov fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Tyler looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
We've been hearing reports that Lovanov has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
