Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ricardo Lima (ranked 347 p4p, 1251 weight class) and Euan Daxton (ranked 52 p4p, 195 weight class). Daxton has chosen Mr Brightside as his entrance music. The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricardo Lima!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Euan Daxton!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Roberts and Jonathan Paton.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Lima shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Daxton looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Well, if Lima is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Daxton wants to get back to his feet.

Lima seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lima is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Daxton doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lima.

Horrible takedown attempt by Lima or perhaps it was just good defense by Daxton, which made it look bad.

Lima dives in and grabs Daxton's left leg, looking for a takedown. Daxton pushes down on Lima's head and hops out.
Lima shoots for a takedown but Daxton saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Daxton lands a big head kick that sends Lima tumbling to the mat! Daxton takes a step backwards and waves Lima back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Ricardo Lima has been cut.

Lima shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Daxton manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Oh Lima is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Daxton is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Daxton keeping moving, preventing Lima from controlling successfully.
Lima prevents Daxton from getting back to his feet.
Lima seems to have got his legs back now.
Lima working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Daxton's head.

Daxton displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Lima.
Lima throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Daxton's waist but Daxton gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Lima off to one side.
Lima looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Lima closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Lima tries to score with some ground and pound. Daxton controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Lima is looking to take a break and control but Daxton is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Lima prevents Daxton from escaping the position.
Lima throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Daxton works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.
Daxton tries to kick Lima off but Lima keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Daxton has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Lima shoots in for a takedown but Daxton shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Lima tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Daxton defends well and Lima ends up having to push Daxton into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Lima jumps guard but Daxton turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Daxton escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

and Daxton counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Lima goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Daxton has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lima but great work by Daxton.
Lima is looking to regain half guard here but Daxton keeps moving and retains side control.

Daxton decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Daxton feints a kick and comes over the top with a right hand, followed by a left hook - both land, sending Lima crashing to the mat! This one is all over!
