Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Yorup Clop (ranked 24945 p4p, 4656 weight class) and Jin Kimura (ranked 582 p4p, 514 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Yorup Clop!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jin Kimura!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Stewart Dunkirk and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A lazy left from Clop finds it's target.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Clop is defended easily by Kimura.

Clop moves into the clinch.
The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.
Kimura is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Clop is defending well.
The referee is keeping an eye on Clop - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Clop tries to break the clinch but Kimura is controlling the position.
Clop tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kimura avoids it.
Clop is struggling to control the position.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Clop pulls guard effortlessly.
Kimura working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.
Clop has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Clop continues to stall.
Clop keeping moving, preventing Kimura from controlling successfully.

Clop has his feet on Kimura's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Clop fails with the takedown.

Clop has closed the distance and engaged Kimura in a clinch.
Clop tries to score a body lock takedown but Kimura shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Yorup Clop. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Kimura tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Clop smiles and moves away.
Kimura gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Kimura throws a half hearted mid kick.

Clop drives through and clinches with Kimura against the cage.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kimura is fighting off a takedown attempt but Clop is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Kimura to the mat. Kimura regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Clop content to stall in guard here.
Clop really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kimura escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Clop gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Clop slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Clop stands and steps away. Kimura gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
Clop throws a half hearted mid kick.

Clop shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Kimura napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Kimura bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Clop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kimura's waist but Kimura gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clop off to one side.
Clop is breathing heavily.
Clop throws a body kick, spinning off balance

and Kimura counters with a takedown into side control! That could mean trouble for Clop!

Clop sneaks out the side door and pushes Kimura away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Kimura.
Clop closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kimura circles away.
Clop throws out a leg kick but Kimura moves out of range and Clop only half commits.
Clop dives in and grabs Kimura's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kimura pushes down on Clop's head and hops out.
Clop stuffs the takedown.
Clop throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Kimura's waist but Kimura gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Clop off to one side.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Yorup Clop dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Kimura bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Kimura is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Clop looks calm but he's in trouble here. Kimura gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Clop is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Kimura lets go of the hold and Clop can pop his arm back in it's socket.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:24 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jin Kimura!
