Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Old Grappling!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Nate Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Diaz closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Diaz passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Grappling!
Grappling is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Diaz has control of Grappling's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Grappling regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Grappling has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Diaz has momentary wrist control but Grappling slips an elbow through the middle.

Grappling looks to land a left hand but Diaz moved out of range nicely.

Old Grappling overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Grappling has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Diaz is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Grappling yanks on the arm and Diaz is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Grappling.
