Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
James leaves Desjardins with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Desjardins takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
James fails in his attempt to clinch.
As James looks to move away, Desjardins throws a big counter combo but James just gets out of the way.

James shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Desjardins as he jumps to the side.

Desjardins closes the distance and clinches.
Desjardins has James pressed against the cage, preventing James from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

James dances in with a quick combination. Desjardins is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from James snaps Desjardins's head back. Desjardins stumbles backwards against the cage. James steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Desjardins's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Desjardins just didn't come prepared.
