The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Reserves closes the distance and pushes Da Silva Barbosa back into the cage.
Da Silva Barbosa looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Da Silva Barbosa wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Reserves has him pressed against the cage.
Reserves is looking to take this one to the mat.
Da Silva Barbosa is trying to break free.

Reserves manages to pull guard.

Reserves working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Da Silva Barbosa doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Da Silva Barbosa manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Reserves has his feet on Da Silva Barbosa's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Reserves changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Da Silva Barbosa tries to avoid it but Reserves manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Da Silva Barbosa to the ground. Da Silva Barbosa escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Da Silva Barbosa connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Marcos Andre Da Silva Barbosa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

and Reserves counters with a crisp one two that drops Da Silva Barbosa! Reserves thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Da Silva Barbosa to his feet! Da Silva Barbosa is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Reserves lands with a big right hook that stumbles Da Silva Barbosa - he's out on his feet here! Reserves follows up with another monster hook that separates Da Silva Barbosa from consciousness! Da Silva Barbosa falls, almost in slow motion to the canvas! Reserves stands and admires his work as the crowd go wild.
