Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xigua Tou (ranked 5276 p4p, 3129 weight class) and Chris Griffin (ranked 472 p4p, 355 weight class). Tou comes into the arena with Gwen Stacy - Gone Fishing. See You In A Year. blaring out of the sound system. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 7 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Xigua Tou!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Chris Griffin!
The judges for this bout are Aleksandr Martynov, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Griffin connects with a high kick.

Tou shoots in for a takedown but Griffin shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Tou shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Griffin sprawls well. Griffin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Tou gets slowly back to his feet.
Griffin defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Tou.

Griffin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Griffin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tou manages to avoid it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tou tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Griffin swivels and escapes.
Griffin jabs Tou right on the nose. Tou blinks but takes it well.

It looks like Xigua Tou has been cut.
Tou shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Griffin as he jumps to the side.

Xigua Tou seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Griffin - that will leave a mark!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Griffin tries to keep at a distance but Tou has taken the fight into the clinch.
Tou tries to pull guard but Griffin holds him up against the cage and eventually Tou drops back down to his feet.
Griffin has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Tou uses from the top position.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.
Tou fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Griffin throws a big counter head kick but Tou avoids it with no problem.

Tou sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.

Griffin closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Tou is trying to get back to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Tou is staying active underneath Griffin, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Griffin stands and steps away. Tou gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Griffin throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Griffin lands a big head kick that sends Tou tumbling to the mat! Griffin takes a step backwards and waves Tou back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Oh Tou is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Griffin connects with a stiff jab that staggers Tou - oh and he follows up with a huge uppercut that knocks him out cold! Man, that was brutal!
