Chai Jr drops Rate with a beautiful combination! Rate stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Chai Jr is looking for the KO!

We've been told by Chai Jr's head coaches at Master Chai's Dojo that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

Rate sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Rate takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Chai Jr jabs Rate right on the nose. Rate blinks but takes it well.

That has opened up Peter Rate's cut even more.

The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Chai Jr drops Rate with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Rate looks back up at him and smiles so Chai Jr waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Rate is rocked!
Chai Jr fakes the body blow, causing Rate to drop his hands! Left hook to the temple! Rate goes stiff, and falls face first into the mat. Goodnight!
