Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Elvis Milissis (ranked 2300 p4p, 23326 weight class) and Shingen Takeda (ranked 193 p4p, 398 weight class). Takeda has chosen Now We Are Free as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Elvis Milissis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Shingen Takeda!
The judges for this bout are Johanna Lukiainen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Marco Blurström.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Takeda throws a body punch but Milissis moves out of range.
Milissis misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takeda.

It appears Milissis was looking to counter with a kick there.

A close round but Shingen Takeda will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Takeda throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Milissis stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Milissis moves in looking to clinch but Takeda pushes him off.
Takeda tests Milissis's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Milissis tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Takeda counters with a two punch combo.
The fight moves into the clinch position.

Takeda's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

A little feinted left hand from Milissis on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Shingen Takeda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Milissis shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Takeda eats them both and turns towards Milissis to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
It looks like Shingen Takeda has been cut.
Takeda gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Milissis looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Takeda lands a nice looking body shot.
Takeda catches Milissis with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Takeda is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Takeda lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Milissis tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Takeda avoids it.

Takeda blocks an elbow strike.
Milissis tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The cut man is working on Shingen Takeda's cut.
That's time! Milissis's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!
Milissis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Takeda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Milissis tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Takeda is able to avoid easily.
Shingen Takeda seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Takeda misses with the combination.
Milissis misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
A countering left hand to the body from Takeda misses.
Milissis tries to clinch up but Takeda circles away and keeps his distance.
Takeda closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Takeda not doing much here.

Milissis wants to get back to his feet.
Shingen Takeda has got the better of the ground game so far.
Takeda seems to be working for a kimura but Milissis defends the submission attempt.

Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Takeda in particular looking to stall.
Milissis is looking to escape.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Takeda takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Milissis fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Takeda checks it well.
As Milissis backs off Takeda throws a huge counter combo but Milissis manages to avoid it all.

Takeda has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Milissis finds it's way round the side to connect with Takeda's head.

Milissis gets cracked there but stands up to it.

A looping hook to the body misses from Takeda. Milissis does a little dance to reset his feet.

Takeda throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Milissis sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Milissis avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
It looked like Milissis was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Takeda.
Takeda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Milissis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Takeda manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Milissis fails in his attempt to clinch.
Takeda doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.

Milissis was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Takeda has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

Shingen Takeda comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Takeda has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
