Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Charles Bukowski (ranked 3161 p4p, 2996 weight class) and Jason Laszlo (ranked 351 p4p, 336 weight class). Laszlo has chosen Medal as his entrance music. Charles Bukowski has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Charles Bukowski!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jason Laszlo!
The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Roosa Järviläinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Laszlo is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Laszlo has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Laszlo gets tackled into the cage by Bukowski. Bukowski maintains the clinch.
Laszlo is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Bukowski to keep the fight standing.

Laszlo pulls Bukowski into guard.

Laszlo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Bukowski defends it easily.
Laszlo wants to sweep but no luck.
Bukowski landing some decent shots from guard.

Laszlo looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Bukowski passes into side control.
Laszlo is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bukowski's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Laszlo looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Laszlo is staying active underneath Bukowski, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Bukowski slips a nice elbow through Laszlo's hands, connecting with Laszlo's forehead.

Bukowski working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Laszlo tries to get to full guard but Bukowski has control of the leg.

Bukowski thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Laszlo's head.
Bukowski takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Laszlo is trying to maintain the position but Bukowski is very close to passing his half guard.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Bukowski is trying to control the action in half guard but Laszlo is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Bukowski drops an elbow to the side of Laszlo's head.

Bukowski scores with a big shot! Laszlo's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Laszlo! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Bukowski!
A very excited looking Charles Bukowski rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
Jason Laszlo spoke after the fight, saying 'I am an all-american, treat me like it.'.
