PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Revolver Ocelot (ranked 4322 p4p, 4331 weight class) and Josiah Ng (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Revolver Ocelot!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck with that takedown attempt from Ng.
Ocelot throws a jab but it's blocked by Ng.
Ng shoots in but no luck this time.
Ocelot is looking to counter the offense by Ng and move into the clinch.
Ocelot takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Ng throws a sloppy head kick and Ocelot moves out of range easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ng tries to clinch
enabling Ocelot to counter with a crisp jab.

Ng has Ocelot up against the cage in a clinch.
Ng is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Ocelot to keep the fight standing.
Revolver Ocelot has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Josiah Ng.

Ocelot stalls.
Ng is trying to pull guard but Ocelot has him pressed against the cage.
Ocelot blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Ng goes for a takedown attempt but Ocelot pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Ocelot keeps the fight on the outside.
Ng shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
enabling Ocelot to counter with a crisp jab.
Ng tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Ocelot was well out of range. Poor timing from Ng.

Ng tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Ocelot paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Ng is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Ng swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Revolver Ocelot is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
A low kick from Ng is predictable there
and Ocelot counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Ng instigates a clinch.
Ocelot holding his opponent close, against the cage.
Ng tries for a takedown. No joy.
Ng wants a takedown.
Ocelot is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Ng tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Ocelot just stands there and leans against the cage.
Ocelot stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.
Ocelot could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Ng is trying to drag Ocelot to the mat but Ocelot just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Ng wants to take the fight to the mat but Ocelot manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Ocelot slows down the pace here.
Ocelot will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Ng up against the cage.
Ocelot throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Ngs head.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Ng fails to pull guard.
Ng drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Ocelot gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Ocelot gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Ng.
Ng has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Ocelot is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Ng looks winded!

Ng tries to score a body lock takedown but Ocelot shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Ng tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Ocelot's elbow.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

Ng throws a head kick but Ocelot moves out of range.
A punch lands to the side of Ng 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Ng tries to clinch up but Ocelot circles away and keeps his distance.
Ng has a takedown stuffed.
Ocelot was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Ng throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ng tried to score with a low kick but Ocelot checks it.
An attempted straight right counter from Ocelot misses the target.

Ocelot bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Ng's head backwards.
Ng darts in trying to clinch
and Ocelot counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Ng throws a low kick but it's checked well by Ocelot.
It looked like Ocelot wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

Ng looking for a takedown here - he's got it.
Ocelot is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Ocelot seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

Ng is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Ocelot pulls his head out easily.

Ng looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Ng is breathing heavily.
Well, if Ocelot is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Ocelot frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Ocelot looking to control and managing it successfully.
Ng looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Ocelot is riding his opponent, not letting Ng buck him off.
Ocelot controlling well, preventing Ng from escaping the position.
Ng really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ocelot. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Ng tries to get to his feet, scrambling wildly. Ocelot sees the opportunity and transitions to an armbar that forces Ng to tap. Impressive finish!
