Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kenji Takahashi (ranked 2142 p4p, 2195 weight class) and Charles Traynor (ranked 289 p4p, 293 weight class). Traynor has chosen Crazy Train by Ozzy Osbourne as his entrance music. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kenji Takahashi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Charles Traynor!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Igor Prikhodko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Traynor dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Traynor tries to bum rush Takahashi with a series of wild strikes but Takahashi uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Takahashi appears to be looking for a counter takedown.
Traynor lands a jab to Takahashi's midsection.
A left lands for Traynor.
Traynor connects with a jab.
Traynor throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Takahashi stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Takahashi takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Donk. Traynor catches Takahashi right on the button with a cross.
A looping hook to the body misses from Takahashi. Traynor does a little dance to reset his feet.
Nice straight punches there by Traynor. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Traynor.
We've been hearing reports that Takahashi has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
A swing and a miss from Takahashi.
Traynor lands a jab.
Traynor scores with a jab to the jaw.
Traynor lands with a nice combination. Takahashi backs away looking to recover.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takahashi rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Traynor connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Traynor lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takahashi circles away quickly and effectively.
Traynor lands a glancing blow to the side of Takahashi's head.
Traynor looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Traynor throws a shot to the body.
Traynor with a nice cross.
Traynor uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Traynor takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Traynor digs a good hook to Takahashi's body.
Traynor is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Charles Traynor seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takahashi shoots in for a takedown but Traynor shows good takedown defense.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Traynor lands an overhand right.
Traynor tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Traynor thows a leg kick but Takahashi checks it
and Takahashi counters with a left and a right that stings Traynor.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Traynor shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Takahashi eats them both and turns towards Traynor to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Takahashi dives in for a single leg takedown but Traynor sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Traynor manages to break the clinch.
Nice takedown defense from Traynor. No joy for Takahashi on that attempt.
Takahashi sets himself, and Traynor steps forward looking for the clinch! Takahashi avoids it this time.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Kenji Takahashi. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Traynor works Takahashi's body with a nice hook.
The fighters circle momentarily. Traynor darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Traynor tries to land a leg kick but Takahashi saw it coming and moves away.
Traynor throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
Takahashi takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.

Takahashi is rocked!
Traynor throws a monster overhand right that drops Takahashi! Traynor follows up with more strikes from mount and the fight is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Charles Traynor!
