Coming up we have a welterweight kickboxing rules bout between Johnny Lawrence (ranked 23113 p4p, 2386 weight class) and Bruce Chang (ranked 598 p4p, 314 weight class). Chang has chosen Kung Fu Fighting ft. Fatboy Slim as his entrance music. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Bruce Chang enters the ring!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Johnny Lawrence!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 26 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Bruce Chang!
The judges for this bout are Luis Engracia, Edson Gomes and Felipe Paraventi.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lawrence throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Chang tries a quick counter leg kick but Lawrence is wise to it.
Chang looks to score with a jab to the body but Lawrence is just out of range.
Lawrence looks to land a right hand but Chang moved out of range.
Chang let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Chang has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Chang lands a two punch combo.

It looks like Johnny Lawrence has been cut.
Lawrence seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Lawrence throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
A nice leg kick lands there from Chang.
Bruce Chang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Chang misses with a wild combination.
Chang avoids a punch combination nicely.
Chang ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lawrence has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Chang.
Lawrence scores with a nice right hand.
Lawrence smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
Chang throws a leg kick but Lawrence sees it coming and moves out of range.
Chang throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Lawrence moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
The fighters circling - Lawrence throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Lawrence throws a jab but it's blocked by Chang.
Chang misses the jab.
Nice defenses there by Lawrence.

Lawrence is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Chang.

A telegraphed right hand from Chang misses the target.
Lawrence keeping at a good range here, avoiding a leg kick.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Chang! But no joy.

Chang throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Lawrence swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Chang takes a swing at Lawrence's ribcage but misses.

Chang catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Lawrence stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Lawrence walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Lawrence throws the left hand but Chang avoids the punch easily.
Chang now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Chang lands a body shot.
Chang throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Lawrence throws out a loose jab but Chang uses good head movement to avoid it.
Chang throws out a counter right but Lawrence avoids it with no problem.
Lawrence misses with a head kick.
Chang slips a jab from Lawrence.

Lawrence walks into a straight right hand and goes down! Chang rushes to a neutral corner so the count doesn't get delayed but Lawrence has made it back to his feet on 5. He's OK so we're back to the action.
Chang closes the distance and catches Lawrence with a lead hook that drops him to the canvas! Lawrence is clearly dazed and struggling here! 3,4,5,6,7 and Lawrence is up to his feet but the referee has called it off! Lawrence is still far too wobbly and he's not going to allow the fight to continue! Chang takes it!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Bruce Chang!
A relieved looking Bruce Chang thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
