Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Slava Fedorov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Masakatsu Funaki!
The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Illya Tyunina and Ivan Kurochkin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Funaki shoots in but Fedorov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Fedorov lands with a nice body punch.
Fedorov connects with a looping right hand.

It looks like Masakatsu Funaki has been cut.
Fedorov darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Fedorov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Fedorov swings for the body but Funaki moves out of range.
Funaki wants to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Funaki rushes Fedorov and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Fedorov escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Funaki uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Fedorov.
Decent striking displayed by Fedorov there.
Slava Fedorov is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
No joy there for Fedorov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Funaki's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Fedorov connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Funaki scrambles back to his feet.
Fedorov lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Funaki backs up against the cage.
Sloppy strikes from Funaki. Those never looked like landing.
Funaki shoots in but Fedorov avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Fedorov counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Donk. Fedorov catches Funaki right on the button with a cross.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Slava Fedorov has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Masakatsu Funaki.
Funaki looks winded!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fedorov scores with a jab to the body.
Funaki throws a right hand that misses
and Fedorov makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Funaki with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Fedorov to score with a decent uppercut.

That has opened up Masakatsu Funaki's cut even more.

Oooooh!!! Fedorov has knocked Funaki down with a huge combo! Fedorov steps away and waves a wobbly Funaki back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

Fedorov drops Funaki with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Funaki looks back up at him and smiles so Fedorov waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Funaki is rocked!

The cut above Masakatsu Funaki's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Fedorov closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Funaki! Fedorov dives in looking to finish! Funaki is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:34 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Slava Fedorov!
