PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yves SL (ranked 4412 p4p, 4381 weight class) and Dude Test (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dude Test will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Test gets tackled into the cage by SL. SL maintains the clinch.
SL looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Test lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

SL jumps into guard, dragging Test to the mat.

SL pushes Test off and gets back to his feet.
SL on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Test slaps away a takedown attempt from SL, before circling back to the center of the mat.
A little jabbing left from Test on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
SL lands a nice shot that snaps Test's head back.

SL forces Test back against the cage and clinches.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
SL is trying to pull guard but Test turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Test misses with a short punch on the inside.

SL is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Test is aware though and is defending well.

Yves SL seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and SL counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
SL slips a straight right by Test.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
A body shot lands from SL.
Test lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.

With the fighters clinched against the cage, Test creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

SL is rocked!
SL has Test pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Test manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Oh SL is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

SL is breathing heavily.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

SL really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

SL throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Test's head.
Test jabbing away but nothing is landing.

SL gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Test lands a left hand that snaps the head of SL backwards.
Dude Test seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Test prevents a body shot from SL.

SL escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Test throws a body shot but no joy.
Test tries to clinch up but SL circles away and keeps his distance.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Test throws a hook to the body. More of an arm punch but it's all scoring with the judges.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Test lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops SL to his knees! Test keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!
