Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eddie McDermott (ranked 1959 p4p, 1999 weight class) and Adrian Atkins (ranked 235 p4p, 238 weight class). McDermott comes to the cage accompanied by I'm Shipping up to Boston. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Eddie McDermott!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Adrian Atkins!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Johanna Lukiainen and Tarja Halkonen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDermott avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Atkins misses with a lunging right hand
and McDermott counters with a stiff right hand.
McDermott looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Atkins thuds his shin into the meat of McDermott's side.
Atkins is looking to chop away at McDermott's legs.
McDermott was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Atkins lands with a good body shot.
McDermott wants to land a leg kick but Atkins is out of range.
A little jabbing left from Atkins on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
McDermott throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Atkins on the side of the head.

Atkins has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

McDermott is looking for a sweep. Atkins is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Atkins! But no joy.
McDermott misses with a straight left.
Atkins slips under a jab from McDermott.
Atkins takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Atkins connects with a body shot that sends McDermott's belly button to the back.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Atkins turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
McDermott on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Atkins wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Atkins takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
McDermott slips under a jab.
