You can see the frustration on Hageman's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Nutz wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hageman keeps working.
Nutz might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hageman haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Nutz is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Hageman's shoulder. That is not cool.

Nutz tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Nutz has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Let's hope that Nutz has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Nutz jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Hageman is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Hageman and Nutz has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
The referee asks Nutz politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Nutz prefers to stall for the moment though.
Hageman is not content to let Nutz control the position.

Nutz is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Hageman knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
