Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Chris McCocker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Keene Scott!
The judges for this bout are Sandra Marshall, Michael Johnstone and David Hoff.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Scott throws a leg kick that is checked
and McCocker counters with a straight right hand.
The fighters circle momentarily. Scott darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Scott throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.
Scott has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Scott swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
McCocker throws a jab but it's blocked by Scott.
Scott moves into range and connects with a jab.
McCocker with a jab.
Scott tries to clinch up.
Scott displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as McCocker throws out the jab.
Scott bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Scott pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Scott gets caught napping as McCocker dives in and scores a takedown. Scott manages to retain guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Scott controls McCocker momentarily but McCocker frees himself.
Scott wants to hit a sweep here but McCocker passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Scott there!
Scott tries to hold on but McCocker postures up.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Scott keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

McCocker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Scott is surviving well by controlling McCocker's body position as best he can.
McCocker wants to take Scott's back here but Scott is holding on to an arm, himself looking to escape.

McCocker looks like he's working for a submission but he's not found anything just yet.

Scott tries to improve his position but McCocker has taken his back! McCocker has a choke - it's sunk in pretty tight... Will Scott tap? No... maybe... yes! He's tapped! McCocker pushes Scott away and gets up to celebrate with his corner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:51 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Chris McCocker!
