Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Velha Maldita (ranked 255 p4p, 1523 weight class) and Shahriyar Chai (ranked 32 p4p, 204 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 1 - 1, fighting out of London, Velha Maldita!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Shahriyar Chai!
The judges for this bout are Tarja Halkonen, Arvi Lind and Johanna Lukiainen.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maldita slips a jab from Chai.
Maldita defending well as Chai loads up on a big left hand.
Maldita throws a body punch but Chai moves out of range.
Chai missing with a left hand there. Maldita was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Chai lands a nice looking body shot.
Chai lands a lovely overhand right.
A shot to the body from Chai misses
and Maldita counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Chai closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Maldita to the mat! Maldita manages to get full guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Chai working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Chai trying to control the position from guard on top but Maldita is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Chai content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.
Maldita knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Chai on the ground.

Chai looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Maldita wants to get back to his feet.
Chai seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Chai throwing shots but Maldita is blocking nicely.
Chai takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.

Maldita definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Maldita looks to land a combination but Chai avoids it well.
Chai cracks Maldita with a right hand to the side of the head.

Chai wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Chai throws a right hand that Maldita ducks under and follows up with a left that Maldita also avoids with ease.

Chai lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

Chai throws a nice looking combination but Maldita bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Chai displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Maldita throws out the jab.
Maldita gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Chai throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Maldita sees it coming and avoids it easily.

and Chai counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Chai lands a glancing blow to the side of Maldita's head.

Maldita ducks right into an uppercut from Chai.
Shahriyar Chai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Chai fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Maldita looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Chai dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Maldita takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Chai misses with a hook.
Chai scores with a jab to the head.
Chai cracks Maldita on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Maldita falls backwards against the cage. Chai follows up with more strikes that drop Maldita to his knees. Chai keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Maldita! This one is all over!

A very excited looking Shahriyar Chai made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
