Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Abdi Hassan (ranked 1774 p4p, 2035 weight class) and Olu Banjo (ranked 121 p4p, 139 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Abdi Hassan!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Olu Banjo!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Valeri Chadov and Viktor Lagutenko.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Banjo can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Hassan controls the pace.

Hassan shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Banjo manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Banjo had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hassan defends it easily.

Banjo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Hassan can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Banjo has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hassan is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Banjo.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Hassan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Banjo has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hassan has managed to get both his arms back between Banjo's legs - danger averted.
