The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schultz swings for the body but Tsuru moves out of range.
Tsuru slips under a jab.
Tsuru tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Schultz was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Tsuru connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.
Schultz throws a lazy right hand but Tsuru sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Tsuru steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Schultz.
Schultz misses with a hook. Tsuru ducked under it nicely.
Tsuru tries to counter by closing the distance.
Schultz throws a hook but Tsuru blocks it.
Schultz lands a nice shot to the body.
Schultz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Tsuru doesn't manage to clinch there - Schultz circles away.

and Schultz counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Schultz throws a hook to the side of Tsuru's head but Tsuru sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Schultz throws a right and a left that Tsuru avoids nicely.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Schultz ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Tsuru bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Schultz throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Schultz throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Schultz is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tsuru.
Tsuru tries to clinch there but Schultz circles away.
Schultz swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Tsuru fails in his attempt to clinch.
Schultz was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Schultz misses the shot to the body.
Schultz punishes Tsuru's body with a nice straight punch.
Schultz catches Tsuru with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!

Tsuru is looking to clinch but Schultz is avoiding it.
Schultz throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Tsuru wants to counter with a clinch but Schultz pushes him away.
Schultz takes a swing at Tsuru's ribcage but misses.
Schultz swings for the body but Tsuru moves out of range.

Tsuru tries to clinch up.
Schultz comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Schultz swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Schultz looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Schultz drops Tsuru with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Tsuru looks back up at him and smiles so Schultz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Tsuru is rocked!
Tsuru is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Schultz doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Tsuru crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Tsuru's bad books for that mishap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Ron Schultz!
Ron Schultz was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
