Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Denis Denisov (ranked 2166 p4p, 1806 weight class) and Magomed Sitsongrit (ranked 250 p4p, 220 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Taro Takaoka, Ren Mimura and Kenichi Hosakawa.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Sitsongrit, as that shot connected.
Denisov will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Denisov missing with a left hand there. Sitsongrit was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Denisov wants to clinch up but Sitsongrit keeps it at a distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Denisov looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

and Sitsongrit counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.

and Sitsongrit counters by moving into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sitsongrit wants to get back to striking at distance but Denisov won't allow it.

Denisov gets control of Sitsongrit's arms and successfully pulls guard. Denisov will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Sitsongrit postures up in Denisov's guard and throws a big left but Denisov blocks it.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Denisov has his takedown stuffed
and Sitsongrit connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.

Sitsongrit rushes Denisov and presses him up against the cage.
Sitsongrit throws a punch but it's blocked by Denisov.
Sitsongrit throws an elbow that misses.
Sitsongrit lands a hook to the side of the head.
Denisov is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Sitsongrit pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Sitsongrit is trying to trip Denisov. He has hold of a leg but Denisov is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Sitsongrit persists though and gets the takedown into guard.

Sitsongrit chips away with some ground and pound.
Sitsongrit slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
Denisov tries to strike but it doesn't land.
Sitsongrit is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Denisov's shoulder. That is not cool.
Let's hope that Sitsongrit has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Denisov tries to bench press Sitsongrit off him but Sitsongrit keeps the position.

Denisov tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Sitsongrit wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Sitsongrit blocks the strikes from Denisov.
Denisov is trying to escape the position but Sitsongrit is controlling the position.

Sitsongrit performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
Denisov throws a strike from the bottom that misses.
Sitsongrit is figuring out what he wants to do next.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Denisov looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.
Denisov rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Sitsongrit moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

and Sitsongrit counters with a nice uppercut.
Sitsongrit lands a slapping body shot.
Sitsongrit stuffs the takedown.
Sitsongrit throws out a counter right but Denisov avoids it with no problem.
Denisov tries to clinch up
and Sitsongrit counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sitsongrit's coach down at Crapollas Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Sitsongrit's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Denisov on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Sitsongrit. Sitsongrit obviously looking to wear him down.
Denisov lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Sitsongrit throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Denisov's head.

Denisov is rocked!

It looks like Denis Denisov has been cut.
Sitsongrit stuffs the takedown attempt from Denisov. Denisov gets slowly back to his feet.
Oh Denisov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Denis Denisov is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Denisov looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Sitsongrit is fending him off so far but Denisov persists. Nope, Sitsongrit circles away and we're back to standing.
Sitsongrit is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.

Denisov throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Sitsongrit's waist but Sitsongrit gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Denisov off to one side.
Sitsongrit throws out a counter right but Denisov avoids it with no problem.
Denis Denisov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Denisov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Denisov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sitsongrit lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Denisov lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Denisov goes for a double leg but Sitsongrit avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Sitsongrit continues to drive forward.
Denisov blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Sitsongrit unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Denisov! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Sitsongrit is unloading with more strikes now! Denisov drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
