PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dwayne King (ranked 3321 p4p, 2398 weight class) and Bradley Brunswick Jr (ranked 358 p4p, 286 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 22 - 34 - 1, fighting out of New York, Dwayne King!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 15 - 15 - 1, fighting out of London, Bradley Brunswick Jr!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Percy O'Donnell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Brunswick Jr misses with a wild body shot.
King tries to bum rush Brunswick Jr with a series of wild strikes but Brunswick Jr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Brunswick Jr moves out of range of the strikes.
King throws a shot from downtown. Brunswick Jr moves away and avoids it.
King misses with a lunging right hand
and Brunswick Jr counters with a lovely shot to the body.

Brunswick Jr fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with King, pushing him back against the cage.
King makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Brunswick Jr ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Brunswick Jr no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
King won't allow Brunswick Jr to sweep him here.

Brunswick Jr is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and King defends well.

Brunswick Jr escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. King gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Brunswick Jr has his foot on King's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. King works his way back into a safe position though.

Dwayne King is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
King misses with an attempted mid kick.

A nice leg kick lands there from King.
Brunswick Jr takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
King's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and King duly obliges.

Brunswick Jr decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Brunswick Jr wants to pass to mount but King is defending the position.

The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

Brunswick Jr tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Brunswick Jr has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Let's hope that Brunswick Jr has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Brunswick Jr is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
