Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Pierre Ledoux (ranked 1446 p4p, 3965 weight class) and Jay Steve (ranked 187 p4p, 466 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Jay Steve enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Pierre Ledoux!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 34 - 35 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jay Steve!
The judges for this bout are Percy O'Donnell, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice body punch from Steve.

Ledoux darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Steve has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Ledoux is working away from the top position though.

Ledoux is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Steve defends it well.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Ledoux connects with a nice short shot to Steve's temple.
Ledoux tries to pass the half guard into mount. Steve knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ledoux is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Steve to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.
Ledoux has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Ledoux wants the takedown. Steve is fighting it off but Ledoux persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Steve's guard against the cage.

Steve throws a series of punches but Ledoux avoids them all with ease.

Ledoux has taken the fight to the clinch.
Ledoux has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Steve is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Steve tries to work over Ledoux's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Steve presses Ledoux against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Ledoux tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Ledoux has picked Steve up - he's going for a ride! Ledoux dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Ledoux has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Steve is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Ledoux.

Ledoux has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Steve uses from the top position.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Ledoux moves into the clinch successfully.

Steve's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Steve throws a series of punches but Ledoux avoids them all with ease.
Steve looks to score with a jab to the body but Ledoux is just out of range.
Ledoux is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Steve can do to turn this around?

Ledoux shoots in for a takedown but Steve shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Steve ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Ledoux, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
