The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Paulo Santos and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Santos closes the distance but Williams moves to the side
and Williams decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Santos's guard.
Williams postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Williams wants to pass the guard but Santos is keeping the position.

Santos tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Williams is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Santos has hold of a guillotine but he's not going to be able to crank on it really with only half guard, so it's no trouble for Williams. Oh but Santos has got full guard now! Oh boy! This one could be over very soon! Williams goes limp - he's gone! Santos jumps up and celebrates with the crowd - fantastic submission finish!
