Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Bam Bam Gigolo (ranked 2218 p4p, 5118 weight class) and Ron Austin (ranked 0 p4p, 501 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 30 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ron Austin!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Austin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Gigolo is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Austin's half guard.
Gigolo seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Austin wants to get back to full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Austin is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Gigolo pulls his head out easily.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gigolo in particular looking to stall.
Gigolo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Austin is just riding it out for now. Gigolo eventually gives up the hold.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Gigolo decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Gigolo is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Austin's shoulder. That is not cool.
Austin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gigolo's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

Gigolo decides to stand and escape the position.
Gigolo misses with a jab, cross combination.
Austin gets caught flat footed, as Gigolo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Gigolo distracts Austin with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Gigolo controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Austin can't keep his opponent in guard - Gigolo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Austin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gigolo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
It looks like Gigolo is going to stand back up.
Gigolo looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Gigolo seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Gigolo in particular looking to stall.
Gigolo wants to stand but Austin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Austin looking for submissions off his back.
Gigolo lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Gigolo content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Gigolo's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's time! Gigolo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Austin fails with a takedown attempt.

Gigolo tries to clinch but Austin moves out of range.
Gigolo throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Austin was covering up waiting for the punch and Gigolo finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Austin has a closed guard, preventing Gigolo from standing up.

Gigolo has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Gigolo maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Austin could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Gigolo has cracked it and Austin is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Gigolo!
