Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between David Lone (ranked 4421 p4p, 25602 weight class) and Outer Haven (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, David Lone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Outer Haven!
The judges for this bout are Mauricio Rocha, Alexandre Firmino and Matheus Silva.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lone tries for a takedown but Haven circles away easily

and Haven counters by clinching up.

Lone's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lone dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
Lone fails with the takedown.
Haven with the counter takedown but Lone avoids it easily.
Haven avoids a punch combination nicely.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Lone moves into the clinch.

Lone breaks the clinch.

Lone rushes Haven and presses him up against the cage.

Lone pulls guard successfully.

Lone throws his legs up looking for a submission but Haven uses it to pass to side control.
Lone is letting Haven control him for a moment.
Lone is looking to reverse the position.
You can see the frustration on Lone's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Lone tries to improve position but can't.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Haven working away.
The referee asks Haven politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Haven prefers to stall for the moment though.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lone is looking to regain half guard here but Haven keeps moving and retains side control.
Haven in side control, just content to control the action for now.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Lone is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Haven's half guard.
Haven gets full guard.
Haven has Lone pulled in close to control his posture.

Lone forces his way into half guard.
Lone wants to control but Haven is keeping him busy.

Haven misses with a takedown attempt - Lone sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Lone moves in looking to clinch but Haven pushes him off.

Haven stays in close to Lone's body and controls the position.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Haven passes into half guard under a barage of strikes.
Lone is looking to get back to full guard here but Haven has managed to pass to side control instead.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Haven wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lone keeps working.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

Lone gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Haven fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Lone, pushing him back against the cage.
Lone tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Haven fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
A counter left hand to the body from Lone misses its target.
Lone shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Haven defends it nicely.
Haven steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Lone.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for David Lone. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Haven fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
The fight stays on the outside here - Lone looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Outer Haven showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! And we move into the final round!

Haven shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Lone but Lone pushes him off and we're back to square one.
It looked like Lone was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Haven keeps the fight on the outside.

Lone gets a takedown into half guard.
Lone is controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Haven wants to sweep but Lone has passed to side control!

Lone looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything.
Haven avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Lone.
Haven stops Lone from passing to mount.
Lone creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Haven sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Haven holds on to Lone's head and controls the position momentarily.
Haven gives up the full mount - oops, sloppy defensive grappling there!

Lone looking to finish with strikes here!
Haven is working to get back to half guard.

Lone stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Lone fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Haven to the ground. Lone is now in Haven's guard.

Lone gets to his feet - Haven follows without any prompting.
Lone tries to clinch but Haven moves out of range.
Lone tries to close the distance and clinch up but Haven swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Lone feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Lone wants to control from the top but Haven keeps moving.
Lone is looking to work some ground and pound but Haven has wrist control.
Haven pulls Lone in close to prevent any damage.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Lone is looking to advance position but Haven has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!


Haven gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Lone looks for a takedown but Haven sprawls well.
Haven feints the counter takedown.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Haven is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

And that's the end of the fight!
David Lone showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Lone has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
