Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Arvi Lind and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Omar throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped

and Blackthorn counters with a takedown into side control.

Blackthorn decides to stand up, so the ref orders Omar to his feet.

Blackthorn instigates a clinch.
Omar is trying to pull guard but Blackthorn turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.

Blackthorn ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Blackthorn no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Blackthorn looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Omar puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Omar wants to lay and pray for a moment but Blackthorn keeps working.

Blackthorn is not content to let Omar control the position.

Blackthorn wants to improve his position but Omar is controlling well.

Blackthorn pulls Omar in close to his closed guard and prevents Omar from doing any damage or advancing position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Blackthorn working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Omar doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Omar manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Blackthorn jumps guard and drags Omar to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
