Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Nikolai Valuev (ranked 4497 p4p, 4481 weight class) and Lennox Lewis (ranked 208 p4p, 174 weight class). Valuev comes to the ring accompanied by Chopin - Nocturne op.9 No.2. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Lewis throws a hook but Valuev avoids it easily.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lewis cracks Valuev with a left hand that drops him to the canvas, up against the ropes! Can Valuev get back up in time? 3, 4, 5, 6, 7... he's on one knee... 8, 9... he's up! 'Walk towards me' says the referee. Valuev looks steady enough to continue so we're going to continue!

Lennox Lewis seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Lewis scores a flash knockdown with a right hook that drops Valuev to his hands and knees! The ref pushes Lewis away as he looks to land an illegal blow. Valuev got an extra few seconds to recover there, which could have made all the differences as he stumbles back to his feet. The referee looks into his eyes and decides to allow the bout to continue. Can he survive?!

Lewis weaves into range and cracks Valuev right on the temple with a beautiful overhand right! Valuev goes down! He's out cold! Wow, what a beautiful knockout! Lewis is strutting round the canvas like a movie star as the camera bulbs flash frantically.
