Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kobe Hunter (ranked 4403 p4p, 5381 weight class) and Paulo Gracie (ranked 0 p4p, 547 weight class). Paulo Gracie looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Paulo Gracie!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hunter shoots in and bounces Gracie off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Gracie looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Hunter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hunter makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Hunter has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Hunter is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Hunter working some strikes from top position.
Gracie has momentary wrist control but Hunter slips an elbow through the middle.
Gracie wants to sweep but no luck.
Hunter passes Gracie's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Gracie is staying active underneath Hunter, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Hunter has taken the fight to the clinch.

Hunter looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gracie with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Hunter is trying to control. Gracie wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Hunter changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Gracie looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Hunter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Hunter is maintaining the dominant position - no doubt Gracie will start to get frustrated soon if he's not already.
Kobe Hunter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Hunter decides to stand back up. Hunter steps back and let's Gracie get back to his feet.
Gracie is breathing heavily.

Hunter sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Gracie on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
