Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Hinya Saoki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bobby Kochanski!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yukihiro Shimada.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Saoki punishes Kochanski's body with a nice straight punch.
Saoki throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Kochanski fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Saoki sprawls well initially but Kochanski persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Saoki makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Saoki.
Kochanski throws a big elbow that misses.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Saoki is trying to control the position but Kochanski postures up.
Saoki is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Kochanski is aware though and is defending well.
Kochanski is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Saoki escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Kochanski gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Kochanski decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Saoki, up you get!
Kochanski drives through with a takedown into guard.
Kochanski is sitting in close to Saoki's body. Saoki has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Kochanski is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Kochanski is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Saoki.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Guillotine). Hinya Saoki!
