With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Adrian Sterling!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Arvi Lind and Matti Vanhoillinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sterling shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Pugsley might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Pugsley tries to get to full guard but Sterling has control of the leg.
Pugsley moves into full guard.
Pugsley not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Pugsley keeping moving, preventing Sterling from controlling successfully.
Sterling looking to pass the guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Pugsley has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Sterling can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Sterling is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Pugsley controls Sterling momentarily but Sterling frees himself.
Sterling wants to control from the top but Pugsley keeps moving.

Sterling got a little sloppy there for a moment and Pugsley has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Sterling has managed to get both his arms back between Pugsley's legs - danger averted.

Sterling looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Pugsley is defending well. Sterling quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Pugsley has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Sterling celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Adrian Sterling!
Adrian Sterling was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
