PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rex Buster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Charles Barmus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Barmus has chosen Never Scared as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Charles Barmus told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Rex Buster!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Buster tries for a takedown but Barmus sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Buster could do with loosing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Buster keeps the fight on the outside.
The fight stays on the outside here - Barmus looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Buster looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Buster is just content to waste time from the top position. Barmus takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Buster drops back looking for a leg! Barmus is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barmus manages to kick Buster off! Buster jumps back into Barmus's guard.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Buster is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Barmus is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!

Barmus is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Buster's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Buster's back!

Barmus wants to lay and pray for a moment but Buster keeps working.
Buster is looking to control Barmus's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Buster avoid being mounted?

Buster trying to strike from the bottom but really, it's not the best position to be doing that from!

Buster had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Barmus is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Buster Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Barmus's back instead.

Buster is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Buster is not going to allow Barmus to sit and survive in this position.

Buster sinks in the hooks and is looking for the choke. He's got it! Barmus taps out!
