Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Shigeki Fujiwara and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rutten closes the distance and pushes Santos back into the cage.
Rutten is trying to drag Santos to the mat but Santos just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Rutten escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Rutten fails with a takedown attempt.
Santos throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Rutten.

Rutten tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Santos paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Santos working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Rutten doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Rutten manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Rutten drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Rutten jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Rutten tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Rutten has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
