Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 1 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kazuhiro Yanagisawa!
The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, Richard Clark and Paul Tew.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Frankborger shoots for a takedown but Yanagisawa saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Yanagisawa changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Frankborger tries to avoid it but Yanagisawa manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Frankborger to the ground. Frankborger escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Yanagisawa shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Frankborger manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Yanagisawa is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Yanagisawa postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Frankborger is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Yanagisawa, into his guard.

Frankborger advances to half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Well, if Frankborger is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Frankborger wants to pass to mount but Yanagisawa is defending the position.
Yanagisawa wants to get back to full guard.

Frankborger wants to lay and pray for a moment but Yanagisawa keeps working.
Frankborger is looking to advance position but Yanagisawa won't allow it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Frankborger working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it.

Frankborger tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Frankborger has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Frankborger is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Yanagisawa is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
Yanagisawa tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Frankborger thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Yanagisawa tries to improve position but can't.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Holger Frankborger.
Well Frankborger has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
