The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kirin misses with a hook

It looks like Kokkoro Kirin has been cut.
Primo misses with a body shot.
Primo ducks under a wild hook from Kirin.
Primo replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Kirin blocks it well.
Kirin pushing out the jab but it's not landing.

Kirin dips to his left and cracks Primo with an uppercut!
Primo swings and misses with a hook to the body.
We've been informed that Primo has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.
Primo ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Kirin moves away.

Primo throws a jab but it's blocked by Kirin.

Kirin is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Primo's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Primo lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Kirin circles away quickly and effectively.

and Primo makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

Primo throws a lazy right hand but Kirin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kirin does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Primo! But no joy.
Primo is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kirin misses with a jab, cross combination.
Primo is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Kirin dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Primo. That did some damage!
Primo throws the left hand but Kirin avoids the punch easily.
A quick step to the side and Kirin tries to counter with a shot to the body but it doesn't connect.
Kirin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Primo.

Primo ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Kirin has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Kirin there as he acknowledges the shot.
Primo bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
