Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Liam Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rashid Atkins!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Gregory Folan and Elvis Blanc.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atkins displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Murphy.
Murphy changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Atkins tries to avoid it but Murphy manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Atkins to the ground. Atkins escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Atkins is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Murphy has been working on his balance at Level Up MMA, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Atkins.

Atkins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Murphy eats them both and turns towards Atkins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
