PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hadebrand Drachmann (ranked 2966 p4p, 3132 weight class) and Adoniskhan Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Adoniskhan Khan!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Khan gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Drachmann to score an easy takedown into full guard.
Khan wants to stand and escape but Drachmann is having none of it.

Drachmann thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Khan is looking to stand up but Drachmann isn't so interested in that idea.
Khan really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Drachmann. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Drachmann is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Drachmann trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Drachmann bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.

Khan lands a big uppercut and Drachmann crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Drachmann looks OK. Khan waves Drachmann back to his feet!

Drachmann is rocked!

It looks like Hadebrand Drachmann has been cut.
Khan throws a series of punches but Drachmann moves out of range.
Oh Drachmann is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Khan slips a straight right by Drachmann.
Drachmann loses concentration momentarily and Khan pounces with a three punch combo! Right, left, right! Drachmann crashes face first to the mat, out cold! Khan finishes this one with a fantastically precise combo! Great stuff.

Adoniskhan Khan tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
