Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Island Chief (ranked 6361 p4p, 25614 weight class) and Gunnar Goransson (ranked 604 p4p, 614 weight class). Island Chief had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.8lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Island Chief could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Gunnar Goransson's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chief shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Goransson pinned against the cage. Goransson gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chief is defended easily by Goransson.
Chief tries for a takedown but Goransson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Island Chief. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chief fails with a takedown attempt.
Chief shoots in for a double leg but Goransson sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chief misses with a takedown attempt
and Goransson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Chief's guard.
