Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Matthews (ranked 4455 p4p, 4350 weight class) and Archibald Schwarzenegger (ranked 0 p4p, 323 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Schwarzenegger takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Matthews drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Matthews accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Schwarzenegger is not content to let Matthews control the position.

Matthews has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Matthews wants to stand but Schwarzenegger has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Schwarzenegger is on top in guard.

Matthews lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Matthews really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Schwarzenegger throws his legs up looking for a submission but Matthews uses it to pass to side control.

Schwarzenegger is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Matthews's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Matthews's back!

Schwarzenegger has the rear naked choke here! This is very bad for Matthews! Can he survive? No! He's out! Schwarzenegger gets to his feet and celebrates with his cornermen. He looks absolutely delighted. In the post fight interviews he takes time to thank his parents and everyone who has believed in him from the start. How sweet.
