Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Smith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Pops Ceballos!
The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Cecil Peabody and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ceballos shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Smith manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Smith is on top in guard.
Smith with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Smith is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Smith scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Smith not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Smith stands up over Ceballos, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Smith keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Ceballos's head.
Smith throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Ceballos works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Smith with a flurry of punches that miss.
Ceballos has momentary wrist control but Smith slips an elbow through the middle.
Smith lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Smith in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Smith distracts Ceballos with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Smith has gone for a leg lock! Ceballos slips out almost immediately though and dives into Smith's guard.
Smith is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Ceballos rolls with it to try and escape but Smith cranks on the arm and Ceballos is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:30 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Jake Smith!
Jake Smith took to the mic after the fight and begged the organizational hierarchy for a shot at the title.
