The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moghadam stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Moghadam wants it to stay on the feet.
Moghadam swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Schmidt has his takedown stuffed
and Moghadam cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

It looks like Royce Schmidt has been cut.
Moghadam connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Schmidt's hands.
Schmidt throws a low kick, looking for Moghadam's leg but Moghadam calmly moves out of range.

enabling Moghadam to counter with a crisp jab.

Moghadam lands a big uppercut and Schmidt crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Schmidt looks OK. Moghadam waves Schmidt back to his feet!

Schmidt is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Moghadam throws a series of punches but Schmidt avoids them all with ease.

and Moghadam counters with a crisp right hand that drops Schmidt! Moghadam lets Schmidt back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Schmidt is still on wobbly legs! Can Moghadam finish him?
Moghadam knocks out Schmidt with a massive right hand! The ref tackles Moghadam before he can follow up with any more strikes and that's it everyone. Moghadam picks up the big W with a huge KO!

A relieved looking Haisam Moghadam thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
