The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.

Mmm dives in and scores a takedown into Pending's guard.
Pending looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mmm controls from within his opponent's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
It looks like Mmm might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Mmm postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Mmm looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Mmm's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
Pending could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Mmm closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Pending did well to prevent Mmm getting side control.

Mmm looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Mmm frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
