PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Meltdown Miettinen (ranked 780 p4p, 3675 weight class) and Fedor Mazepin (ranked 103 p4p, 398 weight class). Mazepin has chosen boom as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Nard Betker and Radbod Blank.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miettinen tries a head kick but it misses.
Mazepin gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Miettinen moves into the clinch.

Miettinen works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.

Miettinen gets to his feet - Mazepin follows without any prompting.
Mazepin dives in and grabs Miettinen's left leg, looking for a takedown. Miettinen pushes down on Mazepin's head and hops out.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Miettinen takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Mazepin gets caught flat footed, as Miettinen shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Mazepin has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Miettinen can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
